From Kalymnos there are different excursions you can make; it can be easily visited the nearby islands Pserimos and Telendos as well as Leros or Patmos. The connections are daily with ferry lines or with boats offering excursions that make several stops in the bays and resorts.


Pserimos is a small greek island located between Kos and Kalymnos inhabited by 50 people. Unknown to most visitors, it is a small island opposite to Kalymnos where there are no roads connection apart from the seaside road. However, the characteristic beauty is the long stretch of golden sand beach and some off roads connecting to few path for trekking. It is famous for its wild caper and will enchant you with its amazing, crystal- clear pristine beach. The peace and quiet is only interrupted for a few hours, when the excursion boats from Kos dock with numerous tourists but luckily just for few hours.


Telendos island is part of the municipality of Kalymnos and it is accessible by boat from the port of Myrties. It is a tiny islet that broke away from Kalymnos in the earthquake in ancient times. This little island is ideal for a day trip, where you can take a nice walk in its beautiful streets, enjoy delicious snacks and meals in the picturesque taverns you’ll find on the waterfront once docked there. The place is beautiful, remote, not rich of trees. However, it is surrounded by the beautiful sea and nice view of Kalymnos,  For those who love hiking and in the mood of exploring, it is suggested a visit to the old church and the ruined castle of St. Constantine and reach and some nice beaches as the pebbled beach Hokhlakas. Being so close is easily accessible even for dinner or only for a drink.
