Public transport from the airport of Kos

Public transfers

The airport of Kos is well connected by public transport to the city of Kos, while for the other tourist resorts of Kos the connections are not frequent and it is often necessary to use the taxi service. We recommend car hire directly at the airport.

The shuttle bus to Kos city leaves from the airport of Kos in connection with some arrivals of low-cost flights and scheduled flights, stops only at the port of Mastihari and Kos city center-station (via Pisandrou). Shuttles are not available for night arrivals.

Kos city airport transfer takes about 40 minutes.
Tickets can be purchased on board (€ 3.20 each way per person).

Taxi service on Kos

Approximate prices per way / maximum 4 people on board are fixed. Price for one way from the airport to Kos town is 38€.  Taxis at the airport are available 24 hours a day, but in the months from late June to mid-September it is advisable to book the pre-booked taxi service. Paying an extra fee for the booking, the taxi will wait for you upon arrival, thus avoiding long waits at the taxi station in front of the arrivals.
